A Little About Me
I aim to bridge the gap between administrators, educators, parents and students to ensure a better quality of life for students and those working with and raising students. My mission is to educate, activate and motivate administrators, educators, parents and students to be the best versions of themselves through love, trust, fairness, support, accountability and safety. I want to teach educators the proper way to impact and influence students and staff, in a positive way.

MY STORY
My Why
I grew up in poverty. In my neighborhood there was a lot of violence and illegal drugs. As a student, I often felt like I was misunderstood and merely tolerated by a lot of educators who seemed to care less about me and some of my classmates' education or success. Despite their lack of encouragement and support I always knew that I could learn and succeed. I was at risk of many factors including, dropping out of school, ending up in jail or dying young. Many of my broken friends and classmates succumbed to them, but I was determined to make it. Now, my mission as an international speaker and consultant is to change the narrative and teach educators and administrators through my workshops and keynotes that their energy matters. I firmly believe every student they work with has the potential for greatness. Some just need to be encouraged a little more than others. All of my books have a No Excuses tag to them. I believe for every problem there is a solution. My why is to teach educators to never give up on kids like young me.

ABOUT
Robert Jackson
Robert Jackson is a nationally sought-after educator, keynote speaker, and author with more than 30 years of experience shaping schools, classrooms, and communities. A former Indianapolis Public Schools educator, his career began after an NFL dream ended with the Minnesota Vikings. Embracing a “No More Excuses” philosophy, he set audacious expectations for every student, staff and athlete, challenging them to excel and to redefine their futures.

His work spans trauma-informed practices, restorative justice, socio-emotional learning, staff motivation, educator self-care, and leadership development—topics he has presented on hundreds of times to educators, administrators, parents, students, coaches, doctors, corporate leaders, and church leaders. A passionate advocate for underserved students and adults, Robert’s mission is to Educate, Activate, and Motivate all learners to be great.

He is the author of eight books, including his latest release Leading Through Pain: Transform Your Wounds into Wisdom(2025) and the forthcoming Stand Up! 2026: A Man’s Guide to Purpose, Character, and Legacy. He contributes regularly to ASCD’s Educational Leadership Magazine, and created the No More Excuses curriculum, now used across the United States and Canada.

As co-founder of STANDUP Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Robert host annual conferences that have awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to deserving students and distributed hundreds of laptops and iPads to young people nationwide.

His honors include the ASCD Gold Excel Award for educational leadership, the 2024 Legacy Award, the Key to the City of Miami, and the National Motivational Educator of the Year Award. Robert earned a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Western Kentucky University, where he lettered in football and track. He is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the NFL Players Association.
